Updates for Stereo Hub and Silverback speakers

Here are some useful updates for improved security and stability in your Stereo Hub and Silverback speakers.

The update to Stereo Hub applies to firmware versions lower than 12123. Check in Google Home that the firmware in your Stereo Hub is lower than 12123 before making the update.

If your Stereo Hub already has firmware version 12123 installed, you don’t need to update it.

  • Stereo Hub
  • SA legend 5 silverback
  • SA legend 7 silverback
  • SA legend 10 silverback
  • SA legend 40 silverback
  • SA legend 60 silverback

How to update Stereo Hub

 

  • Download this file to your computer
  • Save the file on a USB stick. Make sure that it is the only file on the USB stick
  • Turn off your Stereo Hub (remove power)
  • Insert the USB key into the Service (USB) input of the Stereo Hub
  • Press constantly on the Pairing button
  • Connect power to Stereo Hub (keep pressing the Pairing button)
  • Wait a few seconds
  • The WiSA LED on the bcak flashes slowly from 2 to 7 times
  • The WiSA LED stops flashing
  • The WiSA LED then flashes quickly
  • Disconnect power from Stereo Hub
  • Remove the USB stick
  • Reconnect the power. Wait 2 minutes
  • Go to the Google Home App and set-up your device
  • Take the power off. Wait 10 seconds
  • Re-connect power. Let Stereo Hub make a complete start-up (= constant light in WiFi LED on the front)
  • Disconnect power. Wait 10 seconds
  • Re-connect power. The LED on the front will now flash in different sequences. Do nothing until the front LED has a constant light
  • Check in Google Home that the new firmware version is 12013

Now, pair the Stereo Hub with the remote control

  • Click on the Pairing button for 7-9 seconds
  • Note that the WiSA-LED starts flashing quickly
  •  Press twice on any button on the remote control
  • Note, the WiSA-LED stops flashing

Stereo Hub and remote control are paired.

How to update SA legend 5 silverback

 

  • Download this file to your computer
  • Save the file on a USB stick. Make sure that this is the only file on the USB stick
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Press constantly on the Connect button
  • Turn on the loudspeaker (keep pressing the Connect button)
  • Note, that LEDs light up, moving once in a slow circle (release the Connect button)
  • Insert USB stick
  • Note, that LEDs light up quickly in a circle
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Remove the USB stick

The loudspeaker is now updated.

How to update SA legend 7 silverback

 

  • Download this file to your computer
  • Save the file on a USB stick. Make sure that this is the only file on the USB stick
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Press constantly on the Connect button
  • Turn on the loudspeaker (keep pressing the Connect button)
  • Note, that LEDs light up, moving once in a slow circle (release the Connect button)
  • Insert USB stick
  • Note, that LEDs light up quickly in a circle
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Remove the USB stick

The loudspeaker is now updated.

How to update SA legend 10 silverback

 

  • Download this file to your computer
  • Save the file on a USB stick. Make sure that this is the only file on the USB stick
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Press constantly on the Connect button
  • Turn on the loudspeaker (keep pressing the Connect button)
  • Note, that LEDs light up, moving once in a slow circle (release the Connect button)
  • Insert USB stick
  • Note, that LEDs light up quickly in a circle
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Remove the USB stick

The loudspeaker is now updated.

  • Download this file to your computer

  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Press constantly on the Connect button
  • Turn on the loudspeaker (keep pressing the Connect button)
  • Note, that LEDs light up, moving once in a slow circle (release the Connect button)
  • Insert USB stick
  • Note, that LEDs light up quickly in a circle
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Remove the USB stick

The loudspeaker is now updated.

  • Download this file to your computer
  • Save the file on a USB stick. Make sure that this is the only file on the USB stick
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Press constantly on the Connect button
  • Turn on the loudspeaker (keep pressing the Connect button)
  • Note, that LEDs light up, moving once in a slow circle (release the Connect button)
  • Insert USB stick
  • Note, that LEDs light up quickly in a circle
  • Turn off the loudspeaker
  • Remove the USB stick

The loudspeaker is now updated.
