At System Audio, you can experience an exciting range of active wireless speakers of the highest quality.
But what is an active speaker? And why choose an active wireless speaker over the popular multi-room speakers where you can easily, quickly and anywhere play music from your phone? You can read more about that in this post.
What are active speakers?
In short, an active speaker is a speaker with a built-in amplifier. With a set of active speakers, you don't need an external amplifier, but can instead connect your speakers directly to a sound source.
If you choose a wireless active speaker, you get even more benefits from an already compact speaker solution. With a wireless music system, you don't have to worry about cables, and a wireless music system also looks better visually.
Why choose active speakers as a wireless music system?
As mentioned, with active wireless speakers you don't need to invest in an amplifier or worry about cables. But why not just go for a multi-room speaker?
Because the sound of a multi-room speaker cannot match the sound of active speakers. While manufacturers are getting better and better at getting big sound out of multi-room speakers, there's no getting around the fact that the compact physics of a multi-room speaker results in a compressed and flat sound.
Although many multi-room speakers are equipped with two channels and thus designed to play music in stereo, the close placement of the speaker units will significantly reduce the stereo effect. If you are the type who steers well clear of bad sound when you go to a concert, for example, it is a shame when the sound is compressed through the system at home. It's worth choosing active wireless speakers over a multi-room speaker.
