Our Pandion family is the first loudspeakers in the world to be created in an open forum. The goal has been to create world-class loudspeakers and for more than 2 years, SA's design and development team invited various specialists to contribute to the development work.

The results were continuously shared on a blog and thousands of people followed the unusual project, with new experts joining the team all the time. SA's Pandion loudspeakers are the only ones in the world to have been assessed and approved by 25 tonal masters and musicians and nearly 100 audio enthusiasts before production began. The special design process has produced other remarkable results.

Perhaps the world's best 13 cm woofer

SA focuses on the speed of the speaker to set new standards in sound quality. Speed is vital for the speaker to convey the myriad details of the instruments and the rhythm of the music. That's why we develop small and extremely powerful speaker units that are built with great precision.

The SA pandion 30 bass speaker has an exceptionally powerful motor and a diaphragm with a mechanical travel of a wild 22 mm. This enables it to move 5-6 times as much air as a regular woofer. The diaphragm is made of wood fibers.

Normally, the entire diaphragm is covered by a material to dampen the coloration of the sound, but here we've gone even further. To make the diaphragm lightweight, it has 10 slots, each filled with a damping substance that weighs less, thus optimizing the speed of the speaker.

Inside the woofer's magnet are rings of copper and aluminum to concentrate the magnetic force and minimize the speaker's distortion.

 The special woofer delivers a soundstage with musical precision and a bass response that is normally unheard of for drivers of this size. In this case, the feather-light diaphragm is able to control movements as small as 0.0005 mm, ensuring that the details of the music are not lost. The solid cast aluminum construction, combined with a high load-bearing capacity, ensures that the reproduction retains its character even when you play really loud.

The tweeter is shaped as a so-called wave guide that effectively controls the sound's radiation and the speaker has its own integrated cabinet with a special design that is part of the extraordinary acoustics.
