Imagine that you're driving from Copenhagen to Roskilde to visit System Audio.
You turn off at Trekroner and now you have about a 5 km drive to go.
Straight ahead. You have to drive 5 km straight ahead.
You're thinking that 5 km only takes 2 minutes to drive. But it doesn't.
It takes 10 minutes.
10 minutes, that feel like hours.
The secret behind the unbelievably slow 5 km is:
Roskilde Municipality has placed 4 roundabouts along the road, so that cars slow down.
Here’s the point.
This is about loudspeakers.
Or rather: the crossover network inside our speakers.
People who listen to SA, quickly notice that the sound is dynamic, clear and precise.
And they ask: How can it be?
Why does the music sound so vibrant?
The answer is simple, if you know anything about roundabouts.
Inside a loudspeaker you find a crossover network. They are inside all loudspeakers.
But here it is different.
We have managed to develop a simple crossover network, without the large inductor coils that you normally find in such a crossover.
The problem with inductor coils is that they have one serious drawback:
They stand in the way of the music, like a roundabout stands in the way of the traffic.
The coils soften the music.
They take away the atmosphere.
They remove the live feeling.
It's therefore a true innovation that we've developed crossover without large inductor coils.
The music travels straight through the loudspeaker.
The distance is shorter and music sounds better.
SA saxo 70 is an example of our innovative thinking about simplification.
